How much does a sauna cost in DFW?
ZA models start at $2,499. Jacuzzi CLEARLIGHT infrared runs $5,500-$11,000, and traditional Finnish 4-person saunas run $6,000-$9,500. All three lines are on the floor today so you can compare before you decide.
Where can I put a sauna - does it need a special room?
Not necessarily. Indoor infrared units fit in a spare bedroom, garage corner, or basement on standard household power. Some traditional units need a dedicated circuit. Outdoor cedar cabins work on a patio or deck with no interior space needed at all.
Infrared vs. traditional - which is better?
Depends what you want. Traditional gives you deeper heat and the classic steam experience in 15-25 minute sessions; infrared runs cooler, heats faster, and suits longer daily sessions. Hybrid units give you both in one cabin if you don't want to choose.
Will a sauna work in Texas summer when it's already 100F outside?
Yes - sauna heat and outdoor temperature aren't related. Indoor units are climate-controlled by the room they're in, and outdoor cedar cabins are insulated to hold their own heat regardless of the weather outside.
Do I need a permit to install a sauna in DFW?
Usually not for a plug-in infrared unit - it's treated like a large appliance. Larger installs with dedicated electrical work may need a permit depending on your city. We'll flag it if your setup needs one.
